Work in ProgressOur feet fell into a gentle rhythm, we walked lightly through the deep emerald grass, littered with childrens' toys. The air smelled faintly of the savory barbecued feast we had just devoured, the end of summer heat causing the smell to linger gracefully about us. Now off of the lawn, together we turned down a gently winding path, enthralled with each other's presence, the silence not an obstacle. The melodious sound of windchimes twinkling in the breeze and the far-off laughs of glee as children played were a subtle background for our stroll.
